Hip Hip Hooray, The Snake Has Been Taken Away!!!

Hello Everyone!!!  Its Sweetie here, I am pleased to report the super deadly, completely aggressive brown snake has been caught and removed from our kingdom.  Yipee!!    We have been celebrating all day! Above you can see Holly practically bursting at the seams with joy.  Here is how it happened .....

My Yollie called the snake catchers on Tuesday. The nice man (Roly) laid the trap along the driveway, out the front of the house, sprinkled it with irresistible pheromones and then the waiting game began.  We have been in lockdown ever since.  Finally, today when My Yollie went out to check the trap (in her knee high polka dot gumboots) she got quite a shock when the slithering intruder made an appearance.  However, this appearance was not to plan.  The nasty fellow was not in the trap at all, but thrashing around wildly at her legs!!!  Apparently not at all  happy for being disturbed whilst sunning its self.  This time however My Yollie was better prepared and not quite as frightened.  She held her nerve calmly moved away, kept an eye on its movements then quick as a flash got the snake catcher back over to nab it.  And that is pretty much how the story ends. The snake catcher was surprised to find that the snake was completely blind (its eyes were opaque), however this now made it apparent why it was so aggressive in the first place.  So what is the future for "Brownie" as we now affectionately refer to our intruder?  Well, Brownie is to be released into its natural rural habitat, far , far away from our Kingdom, where it can live out its life without endangering suburbia.  We wish Brownie well and hope never to cross paths with it or any of its relatives!!!!

Here is my Daddy, Angel giving My Yollie a big "Thank you" kiss

And Here is My Yollie telling my Daddy,     "Anytime ;0) "

Take care everyone, Sweetie xoxoxox
