Sweetie, English Butterfly Bunny & Tour Guide
Hi and welcome to "Fairy Castle Farm" I hope you enjoy your stay! I should introduce myself, my name is Sweetie and I am a resident of Fairy Castle Farm. Well it's not actually a farm, but a suburban home in the southern suburbs of South Australia. I am a rare Old English Spot Bunny, and absolutely love life here with all my family and some good friends too... let me take you on a tour ....

You’ll never guess who Sweetie is named after!

Good day dear friends,
Sweetie here,
I hope you are all keeping well and enjoying your corner of the globe.

I wanted to take this opportunity to share with you all a very little know story of how I got my name.

I know many of you could be forgiven that "Sweetie" is my name because of how sweet, delicate and nice I am in nature. But in actual fact my name is "Sweetie" because of a .... (are you ready for this?) .... wait,

you may want to be sitting down.... Okay?  ....
 Right, good.... Now I am called "Sweetie"  after a - - - -

D~O~N~K~E~Y !!

I know!  A Donkey!!

This is what she looks like:

Sweetie and Miss Princess at Dundee wildlife Park

Do you see any resemblance?

Patches just giggle-snorts and binkies away when I show him the picture...
heee heeee heeee
I hope he is not laughing at me *thump*

Daddy says it is because we both  have a gentle and kind-hearted sense of  what is good and right, and that Yollie felt this the moment I was born.

I was given my name the very moment Yollie and Miss Princess met me... I was only hours old, and I was already "Sweetie".

Baby Sweetie
Yollie tells me that this delightful girl lived at a wildlife park in Murray Bridge (South Australia) called Dundee's Wildlife Park, perhaps someone reading this may have visited and seen Sweetie for themselves.

Looking for a pacifier ....
Sweetie's favourite activity was to 'borrow' babies dummies if they were dropped or visible from their prams, only very reluctantly ever giving them back... Miss Princess on visiting Sweetie thought she was the prettiest long eared furry creature she had ever seen!  We visited her often and have many photos of her. Sweetie will always be remembered by our family as a gentle soul with cheeky eyes and a hungry belly! Sadly this park is no longer operating, the last we heard is that Sweetie retired with her family and lives happily on their land.

So there you go... now you all know how I got to be "Sweetie"

Take care and remember ... Don't be shy to hop by and say Hi!!

Sweetie... your Spokes bun at Fairy Castle Farm... not the Donkey (giggles) xoxo
