My Yollie Put us on Facebook!!!! Yay!!!!

Hello and I have very exciting news....Sweetie here,

Yes you read that correctly.  We now have our very own face book page!  It's called *drum rolls*.......... :
"The Residents of Fairy Castle Farm"
and "yours truly" (that's me, Sweetie)  is doing all the talking!!

I am soooooo excited!

My Yollie, in case you forgot what she looks like, (see photo) - *giggles* she hates it when I keep showing her picture!!!
Come to think of it, now that I look at our pictures so close together I think there might even be a resemblance??? (No? ) . Sorry getting side tracked. Back to my story, so while my Yollie came out to see me today, we had a chat that went something like this :

"....... blah, blah , blah ....why do I have to keep passing on messages to the bunnies?" "why cant you have your own facebook page?".."mutter, mutter"......"Oh, Great! another one for Sweetie".................."mutter".......... "Of course, I'll pass it on  to Angel"........

Okay, so you get the idea?

So we came up with a plan. I agreed to do all the work and my Yollie agreed to set it up for me, so ..... now you have another way to keep in contact with us!!!

Feel free to speak with us directly here or there. Just remember we are little - mind our feelings (and ears!)
Don't be shy to say Hi!!    Bye for now,  >(:03 Sweetie xox

My what a day! Wind, Rain, Sun - We experienced it all!!

Hello to all my wonderful humans out there!!!  It's Sweetie here.  You will never guess what I did today!!!

I actually got My Yollie to agree to post her picture!!  I know amazing. She is such a "chicken" (hee hee hee) don't mind the pun!!  She had it taken today while celebrating her cousins, little boys, christening (you still with me?) - She told me she had a wonderful time but the weather was cold and raining most of the day. But sharing such a special celebration with her family made up for it.

Well here you have it,

My Yollie.

I had to work quickly to get it posted, just as I was hitting "Publish" she was already trying to get me to stop!!  But I am a quick bunny.

Are you proud of me?

Take care everyone and next post I will continue my introductions of all the residents here at Fairy Castle Farm.  Finally a quick update on Blossum.  She was doing better after visiting the vets last week, but today she has taken a turn for the worse - our prayers are with her, whatever may be.

Till next time. Goodnight.  Sweetie xoxoxo

Some quick Flicks .....

Hi Sweetie here,
My, my how the blog has been busy this week, there have even been visitors from Estonia!!  Thank you all for coming to see our little Kingdom. My Yollie passes on all your wonderful comments so please keep leaving them!!
So, what has been happening today you ask?
My Yollie took some video of us today.
I have to apologise she is terrible with the camera the footage is dark and shaky at the best of times, so please bear with it and just humour her (we do).
In this first one, which goes for a while, you will see my daddy, Angel wanting to be the star of the show.  He chases Patches away, who then keeps trying to muscle in on daddy's lime light!!  Enjoy.
In this flick you will see daddy Angel and me doing some housekeeping. We have to earn our keep you know!!
Look at how daddy's ear pops up when My Nannie calls out ... very funny ...
Here finally,  you will see us allogrooming (definition here:http://www.encyclo.co.uk/define/allogrooming ), which is what bunnies in the wild love to do most. This is where we all come together in a quiet, warm, cosy and safe place and groom ourselves and each other.  We pretend not to notice when My Yollie comes over to sit with us while we groom. Or sometimes if she gets too close, well she gets a grooming too!!

Take care all, till next time.
Sweetie ;0)

Mummy Got Busted ..... Big Time!!!

Good Day All,
It's Sweetie here ....

Blossom does not look impressed!

Did you want to know why??

Well have a look at what My Yollie caught my mummy, Teegee doing today, while we were having our supervised run through our kingdom.......

It started out quite innocently, Mummy-Bun looks like she is investigating the scrummy seedlings, just starting to grow ...
but then ....
My Mummy -Bun's tummy seems to take over ...
Oh No!
Bad Bunny!!!!!

Don't Do it Mummy, its not too late,      Too Late :0(

Mummy - Bun realises she has been BUSTED BIG TIME!!!
She even hangs her head in shame, and looks for the way out....

Finally, a dash for home!!!
OH Boy, Naughty Bunny!!!!  So What do you reckon?  Will she get in big trouble?  Or will My Yollie be soft on her?

We know My Yollie is a big softie, this is probably why Mummy-Bun snuk in there in the first place. Mummy told me she learnt her lesson, and will wait until given the yummy, scrummy leaves next time, truly.

We will have to wait and see. Would you trust this face??

No? Well what about this one?

Me neither, but like I said, My Yollie is a big softie.  Take care everyone ...  till next time ...
Sweetie signing off ;0)

Old Girl Blossom, Lives to fight another Day ...

Hello my good friends,  it's Sweetie here.

With all the snake drama behind us now, we thought life would settle back to normal "Fairy Castle Farm" bliss. How wrong we were!!

Our dear old girl Blossom had a terrible night and has suffered a stroke.
My Yollie took her to the Vet, he gave her an anti-inflammatory injection to assist in reducing any swelling to her brain and settle the after effects of the stroke.  He also confirmed she has Altzimers,  luckily there is only minor neurological damage and hopefully the Old Girl will battle on a while longer yet with good quality of life!!  The Vet confirmed that she is partially blind and completely deaf.  The stroke has left her with impaired function of her hind leg and a strange sounding bark.  But all in all she is a very lucky Old girl still enjoying her food and drink unaided.  Blossom is around 17 years old and been with My Yollie for the last 13 of them.  She is a feisty little monster but just in the last couple of weeks we have noticed the old girl slowing down quite a bit.  She has not seemed as interested in things that would normally get her all worked up. A couple of times she has started barking and growling at My Yollie as though she does not know who she is any more. We are all very relieved that she had not suffered any severe damage and will continue to plod along happily through life for a while longer.

I was thinking today that we each have a very interesting story to tell and with Blossoms sudden turn I thought life really is short and no  time like the present to perhaps begin sharing each of our stories with you.  So here goes.  I'll start with Blossoms story:

Blossom was already quite a few years old when she came to live with My Humans.  Long before I was born. This is how it went.  A professional couple bought her as a puppy and she was living in the lap of luxury.  This was until the couple had a baby.  They poor Blossom was booted out the door, literally!! She went from an inside dog to an outside dog over night.  She never recovered from this trauma.  Soon the owners had no time for Blossom and planned to take her to the pound.  My Yollie's dad is a hairdresser and the owner was a client of his. Upon hearing Blossoms pending fate he had pity on her and told the owner he would take her.  This was his plan but it was not Blossoms!  She hated her new home!! She tore up carpets, terrorised the boy Malteese that lived with My Yollie (Malibu - now passed) and just wanted to pee everywhere!!!  After much anguish it was decided she was not happy, her new family was not happy and Malibu was definitely NOT happy.  My Yollie had a boyfriend at the time (yep, My Stewart) and he was living alone, so My Yollie took her over to see how it would work out.  My Stewart and Blossom hit it off like a house on fire.  Blossom did not mind that My Stewart worked in the day and she was alone because when he came home, he was all hers!!!  He even used to give her baths and change her coat colour!!!  I hear pink was the favourite.  Life was great, until ....  My Stewart got married, yes you guessed it to My Yollie.  Then things got very interesting.......  To be continued ...

Hip Hip Hooray, The Snake Has Been Taken Away!!!

Hello Everyone!!!  Its Sweetie here, I am pleased to report the super deadly, completely aggressive brown snake has been caught and removed from our kingdom.  Yipee!!    We have been celebrating all day! Above you can see Holly practically bursting at the seams with joy.  Here is how it happened .....

My Yollie called the snake catchers on Tuesday. The nice man (Roly) laid the trap along the driveway, out the front of the house, sprinkled it with irresistible pheromones and then the waiting game began.  We have been in lockdown ever since.  Finally, today when My Yollie went out to check the trap (in her knee high polka dot gumboots) she got quite a shock when the slithering intruder made an appearance.  However, this appearance was not to plan.  The nasty fellow was not in the trap at all, but thrashing around wildly at her legs!!!  Apparently not at all  happy for being disturbed whilst sunning its self.  This time however My Yollie was better prepared and not quite as frightened.  She held her nerve calmly moved away, kept an eye on its movements then quick as a flash got the snake catcher back over to nab it.  And that is pretty much how the story ends. The snake catcher was surprised to find that the snake was completely blind (its eyes were opaque), however this now made it apparent why it was so aggressive in the first place.  So what is the future for "Brownie" as we now affectionately refer to our intruder?  Well, Brownie is to be released into its natural rural habitat, far , far away from our Kingdom, where it can live out its life without endangering suburbia.  We wish Brownie well and hope never to cross paths with it or any of its relatives!!!!

Here is my Daddy, Angel giving My Yollie a big "Thank you" kiss

And Here is My Yollie telling my Daddy,     "Anytime ;0) "

Take care everyone, Sweetie xoxoxox

Yikes A Brown Snake!!! Watch Out!!!

Hi Everyone,

I have a very disturbing entry today!  Poor My Yollie, had the biggest fright of her life today!  I didn't know what had happened to her, all I heard was this horrible loud scream.  I have never heard anything like it before.  I was very worried, I didn't even know what it was, or if the sound was even human.  It turns out there is a Brown Snake in the front yard of My Yollie's house.
Source: http://www.communityguide.com.au/syteadmin/admin/pics6/PseTex9a%20(2).jpg

My Yollie nearly stepped on it!!!!  The terrible scream I heard was My Yollie, when she jumped out of it's way.  This is what she told us when she came down to check on us all and lock us up safe and sound......

My Yollie was out the front of her house doing some gardening after helping the little one with her home work after school.  My Yollie said she heard some rustling under the big pine trees on the council strip, but did not think much of it.  When she had finished putting in the new plants, she went over to get the hose.  Doing so she let out the blood curdling scream I heard.  She was reaching over to turn on the tap, she looked down and between her feet lay a brown snake.  She startled it probably as much as it startled her. Like a flash it whipped up and thrashed around her unprotected legs.  My Yollie jumped out of it's way as quickly as possible to avoid being bitten.   Next she ran inside to call the council, which were of no use at all and did not know how to help her or what they could do.  Next she called the snake catchers, they were not really any better. They told her there wasn't anyone available to come out to remove it today. All they could offer was to set up a bate trap which will cost her $160, but there was nothing they could do today!!  She really does not know what to do.  The last place she followed it to was under the cement driveway.  My Stewart (My Yollie's life-bond-mate)looked on the internet to see if there was any repellent to keep it away from the house and the castle. He sprayed citronella around, not that the info available was very optimistic. Hopefully this works though, for all our sakes; Our humans, Holly, Blossom, Chester, Ariel, Belle, Tink, Pox, Will, Barney, the fish in our pond, Daddy, Mummy, Patches and me! Till next time. Think of us poor guys - Hopefully we have good news to report.

Sweetie xoxo
